Digital Media Commons

The USF Library Digital Media Commons (DMC) is a multimedia production area that provides equipment, instruction, creative space, and assistance to USF students, faculty and staff. The innovative lab enables content creators to use studio equipment and software to work on class assignments or personal projects As a part of the DMC team, I created and conducted workshops, taught one-on-one appointments, and designed material to help promote the DMC around the USF campus.

I was given the special opportunity to create a workshop series at the DMC to help students learn the basics of the Adobe Creative Cloud, including a bronze, silver, and gold levels for each. This workshop series is paired with student services and allows students to receive a digital badge on their transcript stating that they have some sort of training in the programs.

I personally planned each individual workshop, created the templates & assessments for them, and conducted the actual events. Each workshop had about 30 attendees, with over 30 people on each wait list.
